Well, she's not very scary, but I thought I would post her anyway in observance of Halloween.
She's one of the neighbor's cows, and grazes in a small herd with a couple of goats and a donkey. They had two Fall calves last month, but the little ones are never close enough to the fence for a photo.
She wasn't very happy posing for this, obviously.

The cow wasn't very happy posing? She wasn't a "mad cow" by any chance?
She wasn't a mad cow. Just a slightly irritated one.
I love cows, they are just big ol milk puppies...
(True story, again)
When I was growing up (well when I was younger), my next door neighbor was an "Equine Chiropodist" (Blacksmith) by trade and owned a few horses. One year he decided to get a cow (to be raised for the meat) and keep it in the paddock with the horses. He named the cow "Freezer", because that was where it was headed when it was ready...
However, his little daughter fell in love with the stupid thing, and they ended up keeping it as a pet for many, many years. The dumb animal thought it was the luckiest horse around, as it never had to be ridden like the others.
