

Along the way, we stopped at a Virginia State Park - http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state_parks/and.shtml . The park
has 1600+ acres and 5 miles of Shendandoah river bank. Pretty nice facilities. Here are two photos, one from one of the picnic areas overlooking the river and the other, closer to the river at a canoe launch. We also stopped by one of the neighboring canoe outfitters, one of the popular spring activities in this neck of the woods.

Also over the weekend, I took a walk up the road to see if the cows were out. So two of the views I encountered - the pastures we pass on the way into the neighborhood, and the road that leads back into the place.
